If you are unsure whether the help you need is training or behavioural, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Fees are listed below for each of the varying options, however a standard 45p per mile will be charge in addition to the fee.

1-2-1 Puppy Training

1-2-1 Puppy Training

I offer 1-2-1 puppy training sessions in your home until your puppy is able to attend puppy training classes (these are important to help socialise your dog with other puppies). During these sessions you will also learn a little about Animal Centred Education and Tellington TTouch Training and how they can both help your puppy.

A three week block booking, where I will teach you how to train your puppy to sit, lay down, leave, puppy recall, stay, and introduce techniques to help your dog walk nicely on a lead. The first session will be 1 hour, the other sessions 30 – 45 minutes. Dependant on progress I can also teach other commands. This 3 week block booking is £80* payable on booking (additional weeks can be purchased at £30 per session).

Alternatively, you can Pay As You Go for £35* for 45- 60 minutes.

Training your dog has multiple benefits. As well as having a well behaved dog, positive training helps with the bonding process, it challenges your dogs brain which is very important to help enrich your dogs life, and is fun for both owner and dog. In addition, once you have the basics in place, you can go on to do a range of other activities with your dog, such as agility, flyball, canicross, etc.

The most important time of a dogs life in terms of learning is the first 16 weeks. However, as puppies cannot go to training classes until they have completed their vaccination programme, many do not start training until they are almost 16 weeks. I offer 1-2-1 training in your home from the moment you get your puppy settled in your home. All training is done using positive training methods.

I always start to train my puppy from the day I bring it home. This is done using treats, fuss, toys, and keeping it fun so that the dog does not realise that it is being trained. However, if you have never trained a dog before, you may find it difficult to do the same, and as you cannot take your puppy training classes until they have had all their vaccinations, missing out on training when your puppy is a sponge where learning is concerned.

Training Sessions for the adult Dog

Older Dog Training

If you have rehomed a dog, or have not managed to attend puppy training classes, then I can help you train your older pup or adult dog. The content of these 1-2-1 sessions are purely individualised to your needs, so you don’t pay to learn commands you don’t need.

Common support (but not exclusively) include:

  • Recall
  • Walking to Heel
  • Focus work
  • Confidence building (for dog and guardian)

You can choose the content and I will show you how you can train your dog.

These sessions are £40* per 1 hour session. You can block book and pay for three in advance for £105*.

Dog Behaviour

The majority of what we call bad behaviour in dogs, such as barking, lunging, reactivity, grooming issues, separation anxiety, need a little more in-depth knowledge and support than a dog trainer can deliver. With a combination of  Dog behaviour solutions, Animal Centred Education, Tellington TTouch Training, confidence and relationship building and counter-conditioning (to name a few) I can help you get back on track together.

Initial consultation of 1 ½ – 2 hours (£140*) to gather as much information as possible about the specific behaviours and your dog. Following this consultation you will receive a full report including a plan of action to help you with the specific behaviour you wish to deal with, and one follow up session.

Follow up consultations to check on progress and adapt the action plan as needed is £45*.

Discounts may apply if multiple sessions are needed and booked and paid for in advance.
